Part IV of the report form. The Committee notes the Government’s report provided in September 2008, which contains only an outline of the reform of the organization of the public employment service. It refers to its 2008 observation on the application of Convention No. 122 and invites the Government to communicate any extracts from reports, studies, inquiries or statistical data which will allow an examination of the results achieved by the policies, programmes and measures adopted to give effect to Convention No. 142.
The Committee notes the Government’s report and the detailed description of the provisions concerning vocational guidance and training contained therein. It invites the Government to continue to supply any information and to transmit any extracts from reports, studies, inquiries or statistical data which shed light on the application of the Convention in practice (Part VI of the report form).
The Committee notes that the Government’s report has not been received. It hopes that a report will be supplied for examination by the Committee at its next session and that it will contain full information on the matters raised in its 1999 direct request, which read as follows:
The Committee notes the information contained in the Government’s report pertaining to training for agricultural and public sector workers. It asks the Government to send a full report which contains a reply to the issues raised in the previous direct request pertaining to the Training Credits Act and to whether vocational guidance includes information on the applicable laws and collective agreements (Article 3, paragraph 3, of the Convention).

The Committee has taken note of the Government's report, which replies only in part to its previous direct request. It notes with interest the adoption of the "Training Credit" Act, whose purpose is to enable any worker engaged in working life or any person who engages therein to acquire a skill; it asks the Government to supply in its next report detailed information on the implementation of the provisions of the Act dealing in particular with the number and status of the beneficiaries and the types of training followed.
With reference to its previous direct request, the Committee would be grateful if the Government would specify the type of information made available for purposes of vocational guidance, indicating in particular how information and guidance are supplemented by information on general aspects of collective agreements and labour law (Article 3, paragraphs 2 and 3, of the Convention).

It would be grateful if the Government would continue to provide information on any developments in the areas covered by the Convention, referring to the 1988 direct request and to the following points in particular:
1. Please provide additional information on the link between vocational guidance and vocational training policies and programmes and employment (Article 1 of the Convention), and indicate how effect is given to paragraph 4 of this Article.
2. Please provide particulars of the type of information made available for the purposes of vocational guidance as required by the provisions of this Article, and indicate more particularly how information and guidance is supplemented by information on general aspects of collective agreements and labour law (Article 3, paragraphs 2 and 3).
