Repetition Article 2(2)(b) and (e) of the Convention. Normal civic obligations and minor communal services. The Committee has noted section 3 of the Law on the General Organization of Labour, according to which “the freedom of labour shall be subject to no restrictions other than those properly established in the law. Consequently, no one may be constrained to work, without prejudice to the social duty incumbent on people to contribute through their own efforts to the performance of normal civic obligations and minor communal services freely determined by the community”. The Committee requests the Government to provide information on the arrangements pertaining to normal civic obligations and minor communal services and to supply copies of the relevant legislative provisions. So that the Committee may assess how the Convention is being applied, it requests the Government to provide copies of the following: the Penal Code, the legislation on the penitentiary system and the execution of penalties; the legislation on compulsory military service, the armed forces and other defence forces, and the legislation on public employees.
