Medical Examination (Fishermen) Convention, 1959 (No. 113) - Ecuador (Ratification: 1969)

The Committee takes note of the communication, dated 22 January 1988, sent to the ILO by the Ecuadorian Confederation of Workers' Organisations, concerning the application of the Convention. According to the communication, the Government should adopt effective measures to monitor compliance with the provisions of the Convention and keep a register of relevant statistics. The above communication was brought to the attention of the Government in February 1988. The Committee would be grateful if the Government would comment on the communication and provide information on the practical effect given to the Convention (Parts III and V of the report form).
