Protection of Wages Convention, 1949 (No. 95) - Somalia (Ratification: 1960)

With reference to its previous comments, the Committee recalls that it requested the Government to take measures in order to give effect to the provisions of Article 4, paragraph 2, of the Convention (respecting the partial payment of wages in kind) and of Article 8, paragraph 1 (respecting restrictions on deductions from wages). The Committee notes that, according to the Government, the Labour Code is being revised and that amendments will be adopted in order to resolve the remaining questions which it has been commenting on for several years.

The Committee hopes that the Government will be able to indicate in its next report the changes that have been made in order to give effect to this Convention.
