The Committee notes with interest the Government's first report on the Convention. To facilitate an appreciation of the effect given to each provision, it would be glad if the Government would in its next report give further information on the following points from the report form:

Article 1(1) to (4) of the Convention. The Committee notes the Government's indications on the aims of vocational guidance and training systems. Would the Government please transmit copies of the legislation on the organization and roles of the systems;

Article 1(5). Please indicate the measures taken to apply this provision. The Committee has noted with interest the information given as to the training of handicapped people;

Article 2. The Committee notes the information as to vocational guidance and training systems within and without the school system. Please describe them in detail, indicating how their openness, flexibility and complementarity are assured;

Article 3(2) and (3). Please describe the kind of information for vocational guidance provided and send copies of typical documentation available. Please show how it is ensured that the information is kept up to date;

Article 4. The Committee notes the stress given to training development in tourism and construction. Please indicate any new measures taken or envisaged to extend or adapt vocational training systems to new sectors of economic activity and to all levels of skill;

Article 5. Please indicate the measures taken to give effect to this Article: any consultative procedures or mechanisms;

Part VI of the report form. Please send copies of extracts from relevant reports, studies, inquiries and statistics.
