The Committee takes note with interest of the first and second Government reports on the application of the Convention. It notes, in particular, detailed information on the implementation of the national policy on the integration of persons with disabilities, including that concerning the activities of the National Coordination Board on Integration of People with Disabilities (CORDE). It further notes from the Government's second report the information concerning the ILO mission conducted at the invitation of CORDE, during which the ILO officials visited public and private centres and services in different parts of the country and conducted a national seminar on vocational rehabilitation and employment of people with disabilities. The Committee also notes from the Government's first report that the recent national census revealed for the first time the number of disabled persons who have been given a job, including those in possession of a valid work certificate. The Committee would be grateful if the Government would supply, in its next report, statistical information referred to above, as well as other information on practical application of the Convention, including for example extracts from reports, studies and inquiries concerning matters covered by the Convention, as required under point V of the report form.
