The Committee notes the Government’s report. It notes that there had been no change in the application of the Convention, that the provisions of Parts II and IV of the Convention continue to be applied and that the establishment survey from which the statistics are derived does not permit, in its present form, the compilation of statistics of time rates of wages and of normal hours of work (Part III).
Referring also to its 2000 general observation, the Committee notes with interest the indication that the Ministry of Manpower and Migration is envisaging, in cooperation with the relevant administrations and organizations of employers and workers, the feasibility of ratifying the Labour Statistics Convention, 1985 (No. 160). The Committee would be grateful if the Government would provide the information available on any progress achieved in this regard.
