With reference to its previous comments, the Committee notes the brief report provided by the Government in which it confines itself to reiterating the indications already given in its previous reports, namely that the statistics requested in the report form in relation to Article 7 of the Convention are in the process of being compiled, according to recent information from the Social Security Fund, and that they will be supplied to the ILO as soon as they are available. The Committee therefore trusts that the Government will make every effort in the very near future to provide statistics on cases of morbidity and mortality resulting from lead poisoning among working painters, in accordance with Article 7 of the Convention.

[The Government is asked to provide a report in 2006.]
