According to the Government’s report, in 2010 there were 2,638,108 registered salaried employees covered by the general provisions on industrial accidents and 99,484 companies had taken out an accident insurance for their employees during the same year. The Committee requests the Government to provide with its next report, statistics comparing the total number of employees in the country with the number of employees covered by the social security scheme. Pursuant to Part III of the report form, please also supply information on how the obligation of employers to take out the compulsory industrial accident insurance with insurance or reinsurance companies is supervised and enforced, in particular with regard to the organization and working of labour inspection services and government agencies supervising the insurance market.
