The Committee notes that the Government’s report has not been received. It hopes that a report will be supplied for examination by the Committee at its next session and that it will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous direct request, which read as follows:
Repetition
The Committee notes the brief report submitted by the Government which indicates that there is only one commercial port in the Republic of Moldova, and that this port is currently under construction. The Committee reminds the Government that, under Article 45 of the Convention, the provisions of this Convention came into force on 22 January 2008 and that the Government is required, under article 22 of the ILO Constitution, to submit regular reports on the measures which it has taken to give effect to the provisions of the Conventions to which it is a party. The Committee hopes that the Government will take into account the provisions of this Convention when developing legislation on occupational safety and health in dock work and reminds the Government of the requirements for consultation with the organizations of employers and workers under Article 7(1).
