Tripartite Consultation (International Labour Standards) Convention, 1976 (No. 144) - Estonia (Ratification: 1994)

Effective tripartite consultations. The Committee notes the report provided by the Government in June 2013 in reply to its 2012 direct request. The Government indicates that very intense tripartite consultations took place concerning the preparation of the new Maritime Labour Act, which it hopes will be passed in 2013, and will include the provisions of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006), and the Work in Fishing Convention, 2007 (No. 188). The Government adds that, in November 2012, the Estonian ILO Council took a supportive position in connection with the implementation of the Social Protection Floors Recommendation, 2012 (No. 202). The Committee invites the Government to continue to provide detailed information on the measures taken following tripartite consultations on the international labour standards covered by Article 5(1) of the Convention.
