Article 2 of the Convention. Facilities afforded to workers’ representatives in the enterprise. The Committee notes the adoption and entry into force on 22 November 2021 of the amendments to the Act on Trade Unions and the Act on Staff Representatives. The Committee notes with interest that the above-mentioned amendments provide for an increase in accredited hours to be attributed by the employer to the staff representatives to carry out their functions, in the event that there is more than one staff representative in any given enterprise.

Article 5 of the Convention.  Relations between trade union representatives and elected representatives.  The Committee requests the Government to confirm, with legal provisions or factual information, that, when there exist in the same undertaking both a trade union and elected representatives, the existence of elected representatives is not used to undermine the position of the trade unions and their representatives.

The Committee notes the information supplied by the Government in its first report. It requests the Government to furnish copies of the Employees' Representatives Act, the Employment Contracts Act and Labour Protection Act, if possible in English or French.
