Direct Request (CEACR) - adopted 2019, published 109th ILC session (2021)

Denunciation of the Convention. The Committee had previously noted that the Government prepared a draft legislation to denounce the Convention. In its last report, the Government indicated that the possible denunciation of the Convention will be examined in a tripartite framework, this in conformity with its obligations under the Tripartite Consultation (International Labour Standards) Convention, 1976 (No. 144), ratified by Kyrgyzstan. The Committee would like to take this opportunity to indicate that the Convention will be open to denunciation during a one-year period from 9 March 2022. The Committee requests the Government to provide information on any developments in this respect.

Direct Request (CEACR) - adopted 2009, published 99th ILC session (2010)

The Committee notes the brief information provided by the Government indicating that no maritime vessels are registered in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and that virtually no seafarers hold Kyrgyz citizenship. While it can be concluded from this information that there are no port activities in the country, the Government is still under the obligation, pursuant to Article 1(3) of the Convention to ensure that any packages leaving the country are marked in accordance with Article 1(1). The Committee asks the Government to provide information on all measures taken to give full effect, in law and in practice, to the Convention.
