  1. 63. At its November 1999 meeting, the Committee had called upon the parties to come promptly to an agreement on all the modalities concerning the granting and use of time-off facilities, and requested to be kept informed of developments [see 318th Report, paras. 272-297].
  2. 64. In its communication of 9 January 2001, the Government indicates that no deductions have been made from the salary of trade union officials in respect of the time-off taken in excess of their entitlement and that meetings are being held to sort out the issue of time-off facilities.
  3. 65. The Committee takes note of this information and requests the Government to keep it informed of the result of these discussions.
