Effect given to the recommendations of the Committee and the Governing Body

1. 130. At its meeting in March 2007, the Committee urged the Government to register the executive committee of the Trade Union of Employees in Higher Education “Ervin Abarca Jimenes” (SIPRES-UNI, ATD) without delay, to ensure that the union dues are paid over to it and to promote collective bargaining [see 344th Report, paras 133 to 135].
2. 131. In its communication dated 11 June 2007, the Government reports that, as a result of the judgement issued by the Trade Union Associations Directorate on 21 May 2007, the executive committee of the Trade Union of Employees in Higher Education “Ervin Abarca Jimenes” (SIPRES-UNI, ATD) was registered and on 4 June 2007 the parties were notified.
3. 132. The Committee takes due note of this information. The Committee requests the Government to take the necessary measures to ensure that the union dues are paid over to the trade union in question and to promote collective bargaining, and to keep it informed in this respect.
