Repetition The Committee notes the information provided by the Government in its latest report indicating that there is no evidence to suggest that women in Guyana work in underground mines. The Government further indicates that, with the recent increase in the number of mining concessions in operation, it would be advisable for favourable consideration to be given to the ratification of the Safety and Health in Mines Convention, 1995 (No. 176). The Committee asks the Government to keep the Office informed of any progress made in this regard.
