Effect given to the recommendations of the Committee and the Governing Body

1. 78. At its March 2000 meeting, the Committee noted the Government's intention to draft regulations later in the year under the powers granted by the 1999 Employment Relations Act to prohibit the compilation, dissemination and use of lists recording individuals' trade union membership or activities [see 320th Report, paras. 70-72].
2. 79. In a communication dated 15 September 2000, the Government indicated its intention to consult publicly on the regulations to be introduced under this power later this year.
3. 80. The Committee takes due note of this information and requests the Government to continue to keep it informed of any further developments.
