The Committee notes the Government's first report and requests the Government to supply further information on the following points.
Point I of the report form. The Committee requests the Government to provide a list of laws and regulations that apply the provisions of the Convention, as well as copies, if they have not been sent to the ILO.
Article 2 of the Convention. The Committee requests the Government to indicate, for each of Articles 7 to 10 whether the latest ILO standards and guidelines (such as the resolutions adopted by the International Conference of Labour Statisticians and international standard classifications) have been followed, in particular, regarding the conduct of the labour force survey and population censuses.
Article 3. The Committee requests the Government to indicate, for each of Articles 7 to 10, the manner in which the representative organizations of employers and workers are consulted when the concepts, definitions and methodology used are designed or revised.
Article 7. The Committee notes that the implementation of the labour force survey will permit the compilation of current statistics of the economically active population, employment, unemployment and visible underemployment in accordance with this Article. It asks the Government to supply information on the progress made in this regard.
Article 8. The Committee notes that, although population censuses have been conducted, data have not been broken down between employment and unemployment. It asks the Government to indicate the measures taken to compile statistics covered by this Article.
Article 9(2). The Government requests the Government to state the measures taken to compile statistics of time rates of wages.
Article 10. The Committee requests the Government to state whether statistics on the distribution of employees according to levels of earnings and hours of work have been compiled and, if not, to indicate the measures taken to compile such statistics.
Article 16(4). The Committee would be grateful to the Government if it would continue to supply information on statistics covered by Articles 11 to 15, and in particular to communicate to the ILO any available statistics on the subjects, as well as particulars of their sources, methodology and publication.
