The Committee notes with regret that the Government's report has not been received. It hopes that a report will be supplied for examination by the Committee at its next session and that it will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous direct request, which read as follows:
Article 2 of the Convention. In previous comments, the Committee pointed out that in the text published in Le Moniteur, No. 18/A, of 5 March 1984, section 107 of the Decree of 24 February 1984 to renew the Labour Code of 1961 provided for a weekly period of rest comprising at the most 24 consecutive hours, whereas the Convention provides for at least 24 consecutive hours. The Government subsequently indicated that section 107 would be brought into line with the Convention following a draft revision of the Code. The Committee now notes the Government's indication that it is a matter of a typographical error and that the next impression of the Code will rectify the mistake. The Committee trusts that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure that the correction of section 107 is duly published in Le Moniteur and that the Government will provide a copy of the official text with its next report.
