Convention (n° 88) sur le service de l'emploi, 1948 - Tunisie (Ratification: 1968)

The Committee notes the reports sent by the Government in September 1998 and April 1999. It notes that Decree No. 97-1930 of 29 September 1997 establishes new powers and functions for employment offices coming under the Tunisian Employment Agency. It hopes that the Government will continue to provide available statistical information on the number of public employment offices established, the number of applications for employment received, the number of vacancies notified, and the number of persons placed in employment by such offices, in accordance with Part IV of the report form. Please also give a general appreciation, in the light of the implementation of Decree No. 97-1930, on the manner in which the Convention is applied, together with information on any practical difficulties encountered in applying it (Part VI of the report form).
