Convention (n° 159) sur la réadaptation professionnelle et l'emploi des personnes handicapées, 1983 - Suisse (Ratification: 1985)

Articles 2 and 3 of the Convention. National policy on vocational rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities. The Committee notes the Government’s indication in its report that in January 2012 the first section of the sixth revision of the Federal Act on disability insurance entered into force, which is intended to improve the vocational rehabilitation of beneficiaries of invalidity pensions. The Committee invites the Government to provide information on the results achieved by the national policy on vocational rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities and, in particular, the measures adopted to enable persons with disabilities to secure and retain employment in the open labour market. It also invites the Government to provide statistics and extracts from reports, studies and inquiries concerning the matters covered by the Convention.
