The Committee notes he observations of the Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (USS/SGB), communicated with the Government’s report.
Part III (Old-age benefit). Article 15 of the Convention. Pensionable age. The Committee notes the information contained in the Government’s report to the effect that the pensionable age of women would rise to 65 years progressively up to 2028.
Part V (Standards to be complied with by periodical payments). Articles 10, 17, 23, read jointly with Articles 26, 27 and 29. Amounts of allowances. The Committee notes the information provided by the Government in its report according to which the amounts of the pensions have been regularly reviewed in line with changes in wages and prices. The Committee also notes from the comments of the USS/SGB that old-age and invalidity benefits have regularly lost value over the past 20 years. The USS/SGB also point to insufficient protection against inflation regarding the old-age and survivors’ benefits. The Committee requests the Government to provide information on the calculation of replacement rates for invalidity, old-age, and survivors’ benefits, in conformity with the report form under Articles 10, 17, 23, read jointly with Articles 26 or 27 of the Convention. The Committee further requests the Government to provide data on reviewing invalidity, old-age and survivors’ benefits, in conformity with the report form under Article 29 of the Convention.
