The Committee notes that the Government's report has not been received. It hopes that a report will be supplied for examination by the Committee at its next session and that it will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous direct request, which read as follows:

The Committee notes the Government's first report. It would be grateful if the Government would provide additional information in its next report on the following points.

Articles 2 and 3 of the Convention. The Committee notes the information contained in the Government's report in respect of the implementation of a national rehabilitation policy to integrate disabled persons into the community. The Committee requests the Government to provide, where necessary, detailed information in respect of the measures adopted within the framework of the above national policy to ensure vocational rehabilitation and the promotion of employment opportunities for disabled persons in the open labour market.

Article 5. The Government is requested to describe the manner in which representative employers' and workers' organizations and representative organizations of and for disabled persons are consulted, in particular in regard to the implementation of the national rehabilitation policy to integrate disabled persons into the community.

Article 7. The Committee notes the information relative to the sustained support provided by the Government to non-governmental organizations in favour of the socio-professional emancipation of disabled persons in Guinea and requests the Government to indicate the extent to which the existing services for workers in general within the vocational guidance, vocational training, placement and employment services are used, with the necessary adaptations, to enable disabled persons to secure, retain and advance in employment.

Article 8. The Government is requested to describe, where necessary, the measures taken to promote the establishment and development of vocational rehabilitation and employment services for disabled persons in rural areas and remote communities.

Article 9. The Government is requested to specify the measures taken to ensure the training and availability of rehabilitation counsellors and staff responsible for the placement and employment of disabled persons.

Part III of the report form. The Government refers to the authority entrusted with the application of legislation and administrative regulations. Please indicate by what methods application is supervised and enforced, and in particular provide information in respect of the organization and operation of the inspection services.

Part V. The Government is requested to provide, where necessary, detailed information in respect of the practical application of the Convention, by providing in particular statistics and extracts from reports, studies and inquiries concerning the matters covered by the Convention (for example, with respect to particular areas or branches of activities or particular categories of disabled workers).
