Equality of Treatment (Accident Compensation) Convention, 1925 (No. 19) - Guyana (Ratification: 1966)

The Committee notes with regret that the Government’s report has not been received. It hopes that a report will be supplied for examination by the Committee at its next session and that it will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous direct request, which read as follows:

Repetition

The Committee would be grateful if the Government would provide with its next report copies of the updated version of the National Insurance and Social Security Act (Chapter 36:01) and the National Insurance and Social Security (Industrial Benefit) Regulations and, in any event, copies of the amendments which have been made to these two texts since their adoption. Furthermore, the Committee requests the Government to provide information on the application of the Convention in practice, and particularly statistics on the payment abroad of benefits due to the dependants of victims of employment injury who are resident outside Guyana.
