Serious failure to submit. The Committee once again notes with deep concern that for more than ten years the Government has provided no response to its comments. It recalls once more that Tuvalu became a Member of the Organization on 27 May 2008. The Committee once more recalls that the constitutional obligation of submission is of the highest importance and is a fundamental element of the standards system of the ILO. The Committee firmly trusts that the Government will take steps to submit without delay the 13 instruments adopted by the Conference between 2010 and 2023 and provide the information required under article 19 of the ILO Constitution to the Office.
In this context, the Committee once again recalls that the Government may request the technical assistance of the Office, if it so wishes, to assist it in achieving compliance with its obligations under article 19 of the ILO Constitution relating to the submission of the instruments adopted by the Conference to the competent authorities.
