The Committee notes that the Government’s report has not been received. It hopes that the next report will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous comments.

Article 3(d) and Article 4(1) of the Convention. Hazardous work and determination of hazardous work. The Committee previously noted that the Department of Labour and the Attorney General’s Chambers had undertaken consultations to formulate a list of types of hazardous work prohibited to young persons under the age of 18 years, which was intended for finalization in 2020 after consultations with the relevant stakeholders. 

The Committee notes the Government’s indication in its report that inter-agency technical discussions on the list of types of hazardous work continue and that the list should be finalized in 2022. The Committee requests the Government to take the necessary measures to ensure that the list of types of hazardous work prohibited to young persons under the age of 18 years is finalized and adopted in the very near future, after consultation with the organizations of employers and workers concerned. It requests the Government to continue providing information on the progress made in this regard.
