Article 2(1) of the Convention. Seafarers’ identity documents. Scope of application. The Committee notes that, in reply to its previous comments, the Government refers to section 153 of the Maritime Code, as amended, according to which only a person with a seafarer’s identity document and a valid written employment agreement may board a ship as a seafarer. The Government further indicates that specifics of the document are regulated by the Rules on seafarers’ identity document (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia Nos 5/02, 96/03, 80/07 and 76/23). The Committee takes note of this information.
