Collective bargaining in practice. The Committee notes the Government’s reference to the entry in force, in February 2023, of the Branch Collective Agreement for the Administration and Judiciary, which introduced a salary increase for public employees for the first time since 2016 and covers approximately 12,000 employees (expert, managerial and executive categories). The Committee notes with interest the Government’s indications that, with the conclusion of this collective agreement, the salaries of these employees in the state administration are now determined through collective bargaining, whereas they were previously regulated by the Law on Salaries of Public Sector Employees. The Committee invites the Government to continue encouraging and promoting collective bargaining in the public sector and to provide updated information on collective agreements concluded and in force in the public sector, as well as the number of workers covered by these agreements.
