Article 2(1) and (2) of the Convention. Raising the minimum age for admission to employment. Following its previous comments, the Committee notes the Government’s indication that a declaration will be made to the Director-General of the ILO in due course, to notify that the minimum age for employment was raised from 14 to 15 years (section 177(1) of the Labour Act). Noting that such declaration has not yet been received, the Committee trusts that the Government will submit a declaration under Article 2(2) of the Convention to notify the Director-General of the International Labour Office that it has raised the minimum age for work or employment to 15 years.
