Allegations

The complainant alleges the systematic violation of freedom of association by the Government, including through the denial of registration of the most active and independent trade unions, refusal to bargain collectively and repeated acts of anti-union violence against workers. The complainant organisation further alleges that new draft of the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Labour Act, 2016 is not in conformity with freedom of association and collective bargaining principles.
