Suriname

Submission. The Committee notes the Government’s indication regarding the submission to the National Assembly of the Transition from the Informal to the Formal Economy Recommendation, 2015 (No. 204), the Employment and Decent Work for Peace and Resilience Recommendation, 2017 (No. 205), as well as the Violence and Harassment Convention (No. 190) and Recommendation (No. 206), 2019. The Committee requests the Government to indicate the date on which the above-mentioned instruments were submitted to the National Assembly.

The Government also indicates that the Safe and Healthy Working Environment (Consequential Amendments) Convention (No. 191) and Recommendation (No. 207), 2023; and the Quality Apprenticeships Recommendation, 2023 (No. 208), were submitted to the Labour Advisory Board in May 2025. The Committee asks the Government to provide information regarding the submission of these instruments to the National Assembly.
