Report of the committee set up to examine the representation alleging non-observance by France of the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise Convention, 1948 (No. 87), and the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining Convention, 1949 (No. 98)

Decision

1. The Governing Body, on the recommendation of the Committee:
   • (a) approved the report contained in document GB.347/INS/18/3;
   • (b) requested the Government of France, in the context of the application of Convention No. 98, to take into account the observations made by the Committee in the paragraphs 51 and 62 of the report;
   • (c) invited the Government to provide information in that respect for examination by the Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations; and
   • (d) decided to make the report publicly available and to close the representation procedure.
