Article 8. Use of intermediaries. Referring to its repeated comments on this issue, the Committee notes once again that the Government has not provided information on this application of this provision of the Convention in the Brčko District. The Committee therefore urges the Government to indicate whether the use of intermediaries in home work is permitted in the Brčko District and, if so, the manner in which this practice, if it exists, is regulated.
Part V. Application in practice. Referring to its previous comments, the Committee notes that the Federal Institute for Statistics keeps records about employees who work from home in comparison to the total number of employees and that, during the period 2017-2021, the share in the total number of employees who “usually” work from home was of 6.32 per cent, while the share in the total number of employees who “sometimes” work from home is of 8.29 per cent. The Committee further notes that the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Disabled Persons does not have databases referring to home work of users of the funds but that there are plans to collect detailed information on all the users of funds, which would enable the creation of more detailed reports in the future. The Committee requests the Government to provide more detailed information concerning the application of the Convention in practice, including statistics on the number of workers covered by the Convention, disaggregated by gender and age, and to envisage carrying out and provide copies of official reports or research studies concerning the working conditions of homeworkers. In addition, the Committee invites the Government to continue to provide information on the nature and impact of the support provided by the FBiH Fund to promote the employment of persons with disabilities who work from home, in accordance with the relevant legislation.
