Representation made under Article 409 of the Treaty of Versailles by the Japanese Seamen's Union, concerning the Placing of Seamen Convention, 1920 (No. 9)

Decision

1. The Governing Body considered a Representation made by the Japanese Seamen's Union, under Article 409 of the Treaty of Versailles, relating to the application by Japan of the Convention for establishing facilities for finding employment for seamen. After hearing the explanations given spontaneously by the Japanese Government Delegate, the Governing Body considered that it was not necessary to communicate the Representation officialy to the Japanese Government nor to invite the latter to make a statement on the subject. Procedure closed.
