Report of the Committee set up to examine the representation alleging non-observance by Saudi Arabia of Convention No. 29 and its Protocol of 2014, and Conventions Nos 81, 95 and 111

Decision

1. In the light of the conclusions contained in the report of the Committee in document GB.355/INS/16/7, the Governing Body:
   • (a) approved the report of the Committee;
   • (b) requested the Government of Saudi Arabia to provide to the Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations, no later than 1 September 2026, reports on the application of the Forced Labour Convention, 1930 (No. 29) and its Protocol, the Labour Inspection Convention, 1947 (No. 81), the Protection of Wages Convention, 1949 (No. 95) and the Discrimination (Employment and Occupation) Convention, 1958 (No. 111), including information on the follow-up given to the Committee’s conclusions and recommendations, for examination at its 2026 session;
   • (c) decided to make the report public and close the procedure initiated by the representation.
